Mental Strategies for Test Day

🌬️ Box Breathing

Inhale 4 seconds → hold 4 → exhale 4 → hold 4. Repeat 5 times. Lowers cortisol and clears your mind instantly.

🎯 The 10-Second Reset

If panic hits during the test: put down pencil, close your eyes, take 3 deep breaths, whisper "I am prepared." 10 seconds saves 10 minutes of scrambled thinking.

💬 Power Affirmation

Repeat before entering: "I have practised. I have improved. I am ready for this exam. One question at a time."

Last-Minute Mistakes to Avoid
❌ Forgetting your ID → no entry, no refund
❌ Arriving late → not allowed to enter
❌ Using a phone during test → disqualification
❌ Dressing in layers (too cold/hot)
✅ Double-check test centre address
✅ Use the washroom before each section
✅ Listen to invigilator instructions carefully
After the Test

📅 Results timeline:

  • Computer-delivered: results in 3-5 days
  • Paper-based: results in 13 days
  • You will receive an email notification when scores are ready
Don't discuss questions with other candidates after the test. It increases anxiety and doesn't change your score. Trust your preparation and move forward.
