📊 How to Calculate Your Overall Band

Add the four section band scores, divide by 4, and round to the nearest half-band.

Example 1: Listening 7.5 + Reading 7.0 + Writing 6.5 + Speaking 7.0 = 28 ÷ 4 = 7.0 → Overall 7.0
Example 2: Listening 8.0 + Reading 8.0 + Writing 7.5 + Speaking 8.0 = 31.5 ÷ 4 = 7.875 → rounds to 8.0
Example 3: Listening 6.5 + Reading 6.0 + Writing 6.0 + Speaking 6.5 = 25 ÷ 4 = 6.25 → rounds to 6.5

Rounding rule: .125 to .249 rounds down; .25 to .749 rounds to nearest half; .75 to .999 rounds up.
