1. Use of "Can" — Ability & Permission (کسی کام کو کر سکنے کی صلاحیت)

We use can to talk about things we are able to do or to give permission.

📌 Structure:
Subject + can + base form of verb + object

🗣 Urdu Sentences into English:

  1. میں گاڑی چلا سکتا ہوں۔
    👉 I can drive a car.

  2. وہ اچھی انگریزی بول سکتی ہے۔
    👉 She can speak English well.

  3. کیا میں اندر آ سکتا ہوں؟
    👉 Can I come in?

  4. ہم تمہیں مدد کر سکتے ہیں۔

2. Use of "Could" — Past Ability & Polite Requests (ماضی کی صلاحیت یا نرمی سے درخواست)

We use could to talk about past abilities or to make polite requests.

  1. میں بچپن میں تیراکی کر سکتا تھا۔
    👉 I could swim in childhood.

  2. وہ تیز دوڑ سکتی تھی۔
