Part 1: The Warm-Up (4-5 minutes)

The examiner asks 10-12 questions about everyday topics. Keep answers natural, 2-3 sentences each. Use the Answer + Reason + Example formula.

Q: Tell me about your hometown.
"I'm from Lahore, a vibrant city in eastern Pakistan. It's famous for its rich history, delicious food, and warm hospitality. What I love most is the energy – there's always something happening, from festivals to cultural events. However, the traffic can be challenging."
Q: What do you like most about your hometown?
"Without a doubt, the food. The street food here is incredible – from spicy golgappas to sizzling kebabs. Also, the people are incredibly welcoming. It's a city that never sleeps, but it also has beautiful gardens like Bagh-e-Jinnah for quiet moments."

❌ Too short (Band 5):

✅ Band 9 extended:
"Yes, I absolutely enjoy photography. Because it lets me capture fleeting moments and express my creativity. For example, last week I took a stunning shot of a sunset over the Ravi River, and it reminded me how beautiful our city can be."
🎯 Formula: Answer + Reason + Example + (optional) Feeling
Common Mistakes to Avoid
❌ One-word answers
Fix: Always add a reason. "Yes" → "Yes, because it helps me relax."
❌ Memorised scripts
Fix: Use flexible frameworks (Answer + Reason + Example) with your own words.
❌ Overusing the same vocabulary
Fix: Keep a synonym notebook. Replace "good" with "enjoyable, rewarding, fascinating".
